2009 at Tri - River Dragway
The weekend of November 1,08 was my first chance to get in to the midst of the excitement at " Tri - River Dragway " located in Fort Gay West Virginia.
The Track owners " Randle & Kay Sartin " made me and my youngest son Ricky feel right at home . The atmosphere at Tri - River Dragway was relaxed and friendly as well as being run in a very perfessional manor.
The " Hundred Yard Dash " as some call it do to the fact as I was informed - from the starting line to the finsh line it is 300 feet at Tri-River Dragway , which was plenty long enough to get the blood pumping !
As you will see on this page of my web site, there were some fantastic Hot Rods there of all types.
UPDATE >>>: For track information you can now go directly to www.tririverdragway.com Tri- River Dragways new web site !
To start things off while at Tri-River Dragway it wasn't long untill I had ran in to an old friend " Arnold Bailey " .
While watching a few of the hot rods make their way to the starting line, I had no idea who was behind the wheel of this good looking Hot Rod. A few minutes after the Rail had made a run Arnold came walking up. The last time that I had seen Arnold he had a lightning quick Black Camaro and a good looking Chevy Malibue that was quite quick as well.

" 2009 " was the year that I had the opportunity to first tavel to " Tri-River Dragway " located in Fort Gay West Virginia.
A special thanks goes out to " Randall and his wife Kay Sartin " ( owners of Tri- River Dragway ) for allowing me to take photos at their Race Track.
Do to some health problems that hit me early in the season I was unable to make a return trip. Dureing the two trips that I was able to make there, I met a great bunch of people and got to exsperience the excitement at one of West Virginia's most exciting Race Tracks.

Any way you spell it, this was one CLASSEY RIDE !
This was one of those Hot Rods that I call " A Show & Go Ride " . While walking around through the pit are I came up on this Ride and it's owner make a few last minute adjustments and doing a little shinging on it.
Later on in the day I had the opportunity of watching this Hot Rod go down the track. AND, it ran just as good as it looked !
There was plenty of excitement at the starting line with some radical burn outs .
I guess there's still a part of me that's a big kid. I love the wheel stands that some of these Hopt Rods do !
